Glør Thorvald Mejdell
Glør Thorvald Mejdell (29 May 1851 – 24 November 1937) was a Norwegian barrister, judge and political writer. He was born in Kongsberg as a son of mining engineer Nicolai Mejdell (1822–1899), nephew of forester Thorvald Mejdell and grandnephew of officer Jacob Gerhard Meydell. He finished his secondary education in 1868, took the cand.jur. degree in law in 1871, started a career as a lawyer and in 1878 he became a barrister with access to work with Supreme Court cases. From 1879 he was a partner in the law firm Mejdell & Heyerdahl. He was also a board member in the Auditor-General's office from 1889 to 1903, acting Supreme Court Assessor in 1892, extraordinary Assessor from 1899 to 1909 and ordinary Assessor from 1909 to 1921. In the 1870s he got a reputation for being "the attorney of lower-class people" (). Kongsberg
Kongsberg () is a historical mining town and municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. The city is located on the river Numedalslågen at the entrance to the valley of Numedal. Kongsberg has been a centre of silver mining, arms production and forestry for centuries, and is the site of high technology industry including the headquarters of Norway's largest defence contractor Kongsberg Gruppen. In Norway, impeachment, also known as the Court of Impeachment (), is a judicial process with the power to convict Members of Parliament, Members of the Council of State, and Supreme Court Justices for criminal acts performed in line of duty. Impeachment is based on the Constitution of Norway §§ 86 and 87. Parliament authorizes the impeachment process, which establishes a tribunal consisting of five members of the Supreme Court and six lay members appointed by the Parliament of Norway. Impeachment has been used eight times, the last case being held in 1927. Process When adopted, the practice of impeachment in Norway was modeled off of federal impeachment in the United States. Similar to the United States, impeachment has two stages: a vote to impeach followed by a trial on whether to "convict" (remove). Nesodden is a municipality in Akershus in Akershus county, Norway. It is part of the Greater Oslo Region and many residents of the peninsula Nesodden commute to work in Oslo. Stephan Sinding
Stephan Abel Sinding (4 August 1846 – 23 January 1922) was a Norwegian- Danish sculptor. He moved to Copenhagen in 1883 and had his breakthrough the same year. In 1890 he obtained Danish citizenship. In 1910 he settled in Paris where he lived and worked until his death in 1922. Otto Ludvig Sinding (20 December 1842 – 22 November 1909) was a Norwegian painter, illustrator, poet and dramatist. Sinding drew on motives from Norwegian nature, folk life and history. Christian August Sinding (11 January 18563 December 1941) was a Norwegian composer. He is best known for his lyrical work for piano '' Frühlingsrauschen'' (Rustle of Spring, 1896).
