GIDS Uqab
The GIDS Uqab (lit. ''GIDS Eagle'') is a tactical unmanned reconnaissance aerial vehicle built and developed by the Global Industrial Defence Solutions (GIDS) for the joint drone program of the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Army. The Uqab is a tactical system which can be used for damage assessment, reconnaissance operations, artillery fire corrections, and can perform other variety of security and military operations. Influence from the design of SATUMA Jasoos, it was developed by the GIDS and its electronics were upgraded by the NESCOM to meet requirement for the Navy and Army. Unguided Bomb
An unguided bomb, also known as a free-fall bomb, gravity bomb, dumb bomb, or iron bomb, is an aircraft-dropped bomb (conventional or nuclear) that does not contain a guidance system and hence simply follows a ballistic trajectory. Takbir Bomb
The Takbir bomb is a weapons-guidance kit that is intended to convert the unguided ordnance into the into all-weather precision-guided munitions (PGMs). Its functions are based on the American Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) system and it feature as a winged glide bomb, with internal guidance. It was revealed by Pakistani firm, GIDS, to the public in 2014. History It was announced at the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar in 2014. It is unknown if it is a conversion of an existing dumb bomb, a field add-on kit for existing bombs, or a new and integrated weapon. Al Battaar
The Al-Battaar is a series of laser-guided bombs (LGBs) developed in Pakistan by Qaswa Industries (aka Air Weapons Complex). It is one of Pakistan's first locally developed Precision Guided Munitions (PGM). Overview The Al-Battaar is specifically designed to give high precision and accuracy within a promised 10m CEP. While the kit is made up of several key components, they are classified into two main groups. The Computer Control Group (CCG) installed on the front of the GPB and the Airfoil Group attached to the rear end of the GPB. A guided bomb (also known as a smart bomb, guided bomb unit, or GBU) is a precision-guided munition designed to achieve a smaller circular error probable (CEP). The Harbah (), is a Pakistani medium-ranged all-weather turbojet powered anti-ship subsonic cruise missile that can be launched from ships & Transporter erector launchers. It is developed by Global Industrial Defence Solutions at NDC facility. Development history The Harbah is reportedly a version of the Babur-III ship/submarine based cruise missile. MANPADS
Man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS or MPADS) are portable shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles. Anza (missile)
The Anza (عنزہ ''Anza'') is a series of shoulder-fired, man-portable surface-to-air missiles produced by Pakistan. Guided by an infrared homing seeker, the Anza is used for short range air defence. The Anza is produced by Kahuta Research Laboratories (KRL), being one of the facility's main conventional weapons projects. Development was originally undertaken to eliminate dependence on importing expensive foreign systems. Various versions of the Anza are currently in service with the Pakistan Army, with the Mk-III version being the most recent. GIDS currently manufactures the Anza. HJ-8
The HJ-8 or Hongjian-8 () is a second generation tube-launched, optically tracked, wire-guided anti-tank missile system which was originally deployed by the People's Liberation Army in the late 1980s. Development In 1970, China's armored corps first proposed to develop a successor to HJ-73 and this was later approved, designated as the AFT-8 or HJ-8. The missile was jointly developed by Research Institute 203 and 282nd Factory, but the program was interrupted by political turmoil. The key designers were Wang Xingzhi (王兴治) and Zhao Jiazheng (赵家铮), who developed the missile. Development was not completed until the early 1980s, after the end of the Cultural Revolution.
