Glen Cairn is a neighbourhood in Kanata South Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is also the name of a public school in the area. Kanata South Ward or Ward 23 (French: ''Quartier Kanata-Sud'') is a municipal ward in Ottawa, Ontario. Located in the city's west end, the ward created in 2006 includes the communities of Katimavik-Hazeldean, Glen Cairn, Bridlewood, Ottawa, Bridlewood, and Trailwest. Bridlewood is a neighbourhood in Kanata South Ward in the western part of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Bridlewood was part of the Township of Nepean until 1978, and then part of the City of Kanata, Ontario, Kanata until 2001, when that city amalgamated with the City of Ottawa. Location According to the Bridlewood Community Association, the neighbourhood is located east of Eagleson Road (Ottawa), Eagleson Road, south and west of the National Capital Commission Greenbelt (Ottawa), Greenbelt, and north of Hope Side Road. As of the 2016 Canada Census, this area had a population of 24,400. This community is located in the southeast part of the former city of Kanata and is 12 km from the boundary of pre-amalgamation Ottawa proper. Stittsville is a suburban community, part of the Canadian capital of Ottawa, Ontario. It is within the former Goulbourn Township. A part of the National Capital Region, Stittsville is immediately to the southwest of Kanata, adjacent to Richmond and about west of Downtown Ottawa. Katimavik-Hazeldean is a neighbourhood in Kanata South Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former City of Kanata which amalgamated into Ottawa in 2001. It is located in south-central Kanata, bounded by Eagleson Road to the east, Hazeldean Road to the south, the Carp River to the west, and Highway 417 to the north. Allan Hubley
Allan Hubley (born 1958) is a municipal politician in Ottawa, Ontario, who has served as an Ottawa City Councillor for Kanata South Ward since 2010. Background Born and raised in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Hubley first moved to Kanata in 1978 and has been active in his community for many years. During a ceremony at City Hall in 2007, Hubley was recognized for his extensive community service in Kanata South and across the city and was named the Citizen of the Year for the City of Ottawa. The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with regular traffic, making it possible to run quickly and consistently, even during rush hour traffic. OC Transpo operates a network of rapid routes which use the Transitway to connect communities with the O-Train light rail system. Additional bus routes also use segments of the Transitway. Terry Fox Drive
Terry Fox Drive ( Ottawa Road #61) is a major arterial road in Ottawa, Ontario named for the late Canadian humanitarian, activist, and athlete Terry Fox. Located in the suburb of Kanata in the city's west end, the road is a major route for residents traveling to/from the north end of Kanata. Starting in the Kanata North Technology Park at an intersection with Herzberg Road, it crosses March Road and Innovation Drive and bisects an old-growth forest, before heading south past Kanata Centrum.
