Ginny Boggess
Virginia Leigh Boggess (born September 13, 1981) is an American women's basketball head coach and former player. She is the current head coach of the University of Toledo women's basketball team. She previously served as the head coach at Monmouth University. Early life and education Boggess is from Hamlin, West Virginia. She played college basketball for Wingate University from 1999 through 2003 where she received her bachelor's degree Coaching career Her first coaching job was a graduate assistant for the Kennesaw State in 2003. After one season she was hired as a full-time assistant where she remained until 2006. She spent three seasons as an assistant at Hofstra, five at Jacksonville State, and one at Columbia. In 2014 she was hired by Carolyn Kieger as an assistant when Kieger accepted the head coaching position at Marquette. Toledo Rockets Women's Basketball
The Toledo Rockets women's basketball team represents the University of Toledo in women's basketball. The school competes in the Mid-American Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Rockets play home basketball games at Savage Arena at the campus in Toledo, Ohio. Season-by-season record As of the 2016–17 season, the Rockets have a 832–538 record, with a 441–246 record in the Mid-American Conference. Toledo has won the Mid-American Conference women's basketball tournament nine times (1991, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2017, 2023) while finishing as runner-up in 1984, 1989, 1994, 1998, 2000, and 2010. A graduate assistant serves in a support role at a university, usually while completing post-graduate education. The assistant typically helps professors with instructional responsibilities as teaching assistants or with academic research responsibilities as research assistants, aids coaches with an athletic team, or is employed by other university departments (such as housing or academic advising). The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC, ) is a collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. 2022–23 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles women's basketball team represented Tennessee Technological University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Golden Eagles, led by seventh-year head coach Kim Rosamond, played their home games at the Eblen Center in Cookeville, Tennessee as members of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC).
