Gina Prince-Bythewood
Gina Maria Prince-Bythewood (born June 10, 1969) is an American film director and screenwriter. She began her career as a writer for multiple television shows in the 1990s, including the anthology series ''CBS Schoolbreak Special'', for which she was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards. Prince-Bythewood made her List of directorial debuts, feature film directorial debut with ''Love & Basketball'' (2000), for which she received an Independent Spirit Awards, Independent Spirit Award. Her other works include ''Disappearing Acts'' (2000), ''The Secret Life of Bees (film), The Secret Life of Bees'' (2008), and ''Beyond the Lights'' (2014). She became the first black woman to direct a major comic-book film, ''The Old Guard (2020 film), The Old Guard'' (2020). The Critics' Choice Awards (formerly known as the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award) is an awards show presented annually by the American Critics Choice Association (CCA) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. ''The Hairpin'' was a women's writer-led website in ''The Awl'' network. It was founded in 2010 by Edith Zimmerman. It ceased publication at the end of January 2018. From 2013 to 2014, ''The Hairpin'' was edited by Emma Carmichael, with Jia Tolentino as contributing editor. Vulture
A vulture is a bird of prey that scavenges on carrion. There are 23 extant species of vulture (including condors). Old World vultures include 16 living species native to Europe, Africa, and Asia; New World vultures are restricted to North and South America and consist of seven identified species, all belonging to the Cathartidae family. A particular characteristic of many vultures is a bald, unfeathered head. This bare skin is thought to keep the head clean when feeding, and also plays an important role in thermoregulation.
