Gilberto González (actor)
Gilberto González (1906 - 21 March 1954) was a Mexican actor. He appeared in more than ninety films from 1933 to 1954. Biography Gilberto González was born in 1906 in México City, México. After several attempts, in 1933 he found a spot as an extra in the film Su última canción. In his third film (Janitzio (1935)) he gets the antagonistic role, which made life impossible for the protagonist, played by Emilio “Indio” Fernández. He was given the opportunity to play the major villain in other films as a result of this performance. He appeared in more than ninety films from 1933 to 1954. María de los Dolores Asúnsolo y López Negrete (3 August 1904 – 11 April 1983), known professionally as Dolores del Río (), was a Mexican actress. With a career spanning more than 50 years, she is regarded as the first major female Latin American crossover star in Hollywood. ''Mexican Bus Ride'' (original title in , "Ascent to Heaven") is a 1952 Mexican comedy film directed by Luis Buñuel and starring Lilia Prado. It was entered into the 1952 Cannes Film Festival. Plot Much like the film '' Illusion Travels by Streetcar'', directed by Buñuel two years later, focuses on a tram ride, this film is essentially about a bus ride. When Oliverio's mother is dying, she wants to quickly write a will so that the youngest son gets his share and the two older brothers don't collect everything. Because his mother is too weak to travel, Oliverio is supposed to bring a notary from the city to her. So he takes the bus, but unforeseen events constantly interrupt the journey. Miroslava Šternová ( Stanclová; 26 February 1926 – 9 March 1955), known professionally as Miroslava Stern, was a Czechoslovak-Mexican actress. Biography Born in interwar Prague as Miroslava Stanclová, her father died and she was adopted by a Jewish doctor, the psychoanalyst Dr. Oskar Leo Stern (1900–1972) who married her mother, Miroslava (née Becka; 1898–1945), and became known as Miroslava Šternová. Dr Stern and his wife had a son, Ivo (1931–2011), the actress's half-brother. The family was, at one point, interned in a concentration camp after they fled their native Czechoslovakia in 1939. They sought refuge in various Scandinavian countries before emigrating to Mexico in 1941. Her mother died of cancer four years later.
