Ghiță Licu
Gheorghe "Ghiță" Licu (1 December 1945 – 8 April 2014) was a Romanian handball pivot player. Between 1966 and 1976 he capped 197 times for the national team and scored 328 goals, winning world titles in 1970 and 1974 and Olympic medals in 1972 and 1976. Domestically he played his entire career from 1964 to 1980 for Dinamo Bucuresti, winning the national titles in 1965, 1966 and 1978 and the Romanian Cup in 1979. After retiring from competitions Licu became a handball coach. In 1980–1993 he worked with Dinamo Bucuresti in Romania, and in 1995–2006 with SC Magdeburg in Germany, first with the junior and then with the senior team, leading them to the German national title in 2001 and the EHF Champions League victory in 2002. Ghiță Moscu (born Gelbert or Gelber Moscovici, also known as Alexandru Bădulescu, ; 1889 – November 4, 1937) was a Romanian socialist and communist activist, one of the early leaders of the Romanian Communist Party and its permanent delegate to the Third International. He was executed in the Soviet Union during the Great Purge. Biography He was born in a Jewish family in Băiceni, near Iași, in north-eastern Romania. He was the son of an immigrant petty merchant who had fought in the Romanian Independence War. Daniel Ghiță (, born 22 April 1981) is a Romanian politician and former kickboxer, who serves as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania since December 2020. Ghiță is the former It's Showtime heavyweight champion. He formerly competed in Glory, and was the runner up of the Glory Heavyweight Grand Slam tournament. He also competed for the Japanese K-1 promotion, where he made his name in their 2009 and 2010 World Grand Prix seasons.
