Gervonta Davis
Gervonta Bryant Davis ( ; born November 7, 1994), also known by his nickname "Tank", is an American professional boxer. He has held the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight title since 2023, having previously held the Regular version from 2019 to 2023. He also held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) super featherweight title in 2017, the WBA super featherweight title ( Super version) twice between 2018 and 2020, and the WBA super lightweight title (Regular version) in 2021. Early life Davis was raised in the Sandtown-Winchester community in West Baltimore, one of the most crime-ridden areas of the city. The World Boxing Association (WBA), formerly known as the National Boxing Association (NBA), is an international professional boxing organization based in Panama. The WBA awards its world championship title at the professional level. Lamont Peterson (born January 24, 1984) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2019. Police Athletic League
The Police Athletic League (PAL) is an organization in many American police departments in which members of the police force coach young people, both boys and girls, in sports, and help with homework and other school-related activities. The purpose is to build character, help strengthen police-community relations, and keep children off illegal drugs. Most PAL programs now call themselves "Police Activities Leagues" because many of the programs are now focused on youth enrichment, educational and youth leadership programs and not just sports. Some organizations are also called Sheriff Activities Leagues (SAL) because their sponsoring agency is a Sheriff's Department. Dennis "Cutty" Wise is a fictional character inspired by real-life boxing trainer Calvin Ford on the HBO drama ''The Wire'', played by actor Chad Coleman. The General Educational Development (GED) tests are a group of four academic subject tests in the United States and its territories certifying academic knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma.
