Germán Puentes
Germán Puentes Alcañiz (born 18 December 1972) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Career Puentes was the runner-up in the 1989 Spanish Junior Championships. The Spaniard appeared in the main singles draw of five Grand Slams during his career but only once made the second round, at the 2001 Wimbledon Championships, with a win over Mariano Puerta. He also won just one Grand Slam doubles match, which was against South Africans Jeff Coetzee and Marcos Ondruska in the 2001 Australian Open, partnering Juan Balcells. His best singles showing on the ATP Tour came at Prague in 1999 when he reached the semi-finals and he was also a quarter-finalist in the Swedish Open that year and again in the 2001 Grand Prix Hassan II. Swedish Open
The Swedish Open is a professional tennis tournament held in Båstad, Sweden. It is played on outdoor clay courts in July. The men's event (sponsored by Skistar) is an ATP Tour 250 tournament on the ATP Tour. The women's event (sponsored by Collector) was held between 2009 and 2017 as an International tournament and successor to the Nordic Light Open in Stockholm, and from 2019 onwards is a challenger-level tournament. Albert Portas Soy (, ; born 15 November 1973) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of World No. 19 in October 2001. Career Portas turned professional in 1994. His first and only top-level singles title came at the 2001 Hamburg Masters tournament, where as a qualifier he defeated Juan Carlos Ferrero in the final. His mastery of the drop shot (key to his victory in the final) earned him the nickname "Drop Shot Dragon". According to the BBC, Lleyton Hewitt said of Portas that "He sure hits a lot of drop shots, but he hits them so well, as well as anyone I have faced."
