Vitaly Afanasevich Petrov (, ; born 6 October 1945 in Donetsk, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian athletics coach, mainly specialising in pole vault. He was the coach of legendary pole vaulters, like Sergey Bubka, Yelena Isinbayeva and Giuseppe Gibilisco.
