Germán Alfaro
Germán Enrique Alfaro (born 21 September 1965) is an Argentine politician and leader of the Social Justice Party. He was part of the Justicialist Party, later migrating to the Party for Social Justice, the Agreement for the Bicentennial, and Together for Change. He was mayor of the city of San Miguel de Tucumán between 2015 and 2023. In 2021, he was elected senator, and the next day he resigned from his seat to leave the position to his wife, deputy Beatriz Ávila. Biography He was born on September 21, 1965, in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán. He grew up in the Villa Amalia neighborhood, where he lived until 2000. He completed his primary studies at the John Kennedy Institute; he completed his secondary studies at the General Araoz Military High School in Lamadrid, graduating as a Second Lieutenant of the Reserve. Together for Change () was a Populism, populist political party, political alliance in Montenegro that existed from 2001 to 2006, originally known as Together for Yugoslavia (ЗЗЈ, ''ZZJ''). 2021 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 14 November 2021. Half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate were renewed. The election had previously been scheduled to take place on 24 October 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina. Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) were previously scheduled to take place on 8 August 2021, but took place on 12 September 2021, having also been postponed due to COVID-19. There were proposals, backed by the ruling Frente de Todos, to scrap the primaries altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals were opposed by the Juntos por el Cambio opposition. Elocho TV (call sign LRK 458 TV) is a television station broadcasting on analog channel 8 in San Miguel de Tucumán, the capital of the Argentine province of Tucumán. It carries programs from Telefe and is owned by Grupo Televisión Litoral. History Canal 8 signed on in 1983.
