Geraldo Perdomo
Geraldo Rafael Perdomo (born October 22, 1999) is a Dominican professional baseball shortstop for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021. He was named to his first MLB All-Star Game in 2023 and helped the Diamondbacks win their first National League pennant since 2001. Career Perdomo signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks as an international free agent on July 2, 2016. He made his professional debut in 2017 with the Dominican Summer League Giants, batting .238 with one home run and 11 RBI over 63 games. The Missoula PaddleHeads are an independent baseball team of the Pioneer League, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB) but is an MLB Partner League. They are located in Missoula, Montana, and play their home games at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. In conjunction with a contraction of Minor League Baseball in 2021, the Pioneer League, of which the PaddleHeads have been members since 1999, was converted from an MLB-affiliated Rookie Advanced league to an independent baseball league and granted status as an MLB Partner League, with Missoula continuing as members. Meniscus Tear
A tear of a meniscus is a rupturing of one or more of the fibrocartilage strips in the knee called menisci. When doctors and patients refer to "torn cartilage" in the knee, they actually may be referring to an injury to a meniscus at the top of one of the tibiae. Menisci can be torn during innocuous activities such as walking or squatting. They can also be torn by traumatic force encountered in sports or other forms of physical exertion. Sacrifice Bunt
In baseball, a sacrifice bunt (also called a sacrifice hit) is a batter's act of deliberately bunting the ball, before there are two outs, in a manner that allows a baserunner to advance to another base. The batter is almost always put out, and hence sacrificed (to a certain degree that is the intent of the batter), but sometimes reaches base on an error or fielder's choice. In that situation, if runners still advance bases, it is still scored a sacrifice bunt instead of the error or the fielder's choice. Sometimes the batter may safely reach base by simply outrunning the throw to first; this is not scored as a sacrifice bunt but rather a single. Tomás Enrique Nido Vicéns (born April 12, 1994) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball catcher in the Detroit Tigers organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs. He made his MLB debut in 2017 with the Mets. Jared Solomon (born June 10, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cincinnati Reds.
