George Lowther (1739–1784)
George Lowther (1739 – 18 August 1784) was an Irish Member of Parliament. He was the son of Gorges Lowther of Kilrue, County Meath, by his wife Judith, daughter of John Ussher and sister of St George Ussher, 1st Baron St George. He sat in the Irish House of Commons for Ratoath from 1761 to 1768, for Ardee from 1768 to 1776 and for Newtownards Newtownards (; ) is a town in County Down, Northern Ireland. Gorges Lowther (5 November 1713 – 21 February 1792) was an Irish Member of Parliament. He was the son of George Lowther of Kilrue, County Meath, by his wife Jane, daughter of Sir Tristram Beresford, 3rd Baronet and Nichola Sophia Hamilton. Sir Marcus Lowther-Crofton, 1st Baronet, was his brother. County Meath ( ; or simply , ) is a Counties of Ireland, county in the Eastern and Midland Region of Republic of Ireland, Ireland, within the Provinces of Ireland, province of Leinster. John Ussher (died 1741)
John Ussher (circa 1682 – 1741) was an Irish soldier and Member of Parliament. He was the son of Lieutenant-Colonel Beverley Ussher by his wife Grace, daughter of Sir Richard Osborne, 2nd Baronet. His nephews John Ussher (1703–1749), John Ussher and Beverley Ussher (MP), Beverley Ussher were also MPs. He reached the rank of Captain (British Army and Royal Marines), captain in Henry Lumley, General Lumley's 1st King's Dragoon Guards, Regiment of Horse, seeing action at the Battle of Blenheim. On 20 December 1714 he married Mary St George, daughter and heiress of George St George, 1st Baron St George, Sir George St George, later Lord St George. In November 1715 he was elected to the Irish House of Commons for his father-in-law's former constituency of Carrick (Parliament of Ireland constituency), Carrick, sitting until his death. St George St George, 1st Baron St George
St George Ussher St George, 1st Baron Saint George (circa 1715 – 2 January 1775), was an Irish politician. Born St George Ussher, he was the son of John Ussher by his wife Mary St George, daughter of the 1st Baron St George. On 25 May 1734, by Royal Licence, his name was legally changed to St. George Ussher St. George. In 1737, he held the office of High Sheriff of County Roscommon. He succeeded his father as Member of Parliament for Carrick in the Irish House of Commons from 1741 until he was raised to the Irish House of Lords. He was created Baron Saint George of Hatley St George, in the Peerage of Ireland, on 19 April 1763; this was a revival of the title held by his grandfather. He married Elizabeth Dominick, daughter of Sir Christopher Dominick (died 1743), a wealthy Dublin doctor who began the laying out of Dominick Street, Dublin. The Irish House of Commons was the lower house of the Parliament of Ireland that existed from 1297 until the end of 1800. The upper house was the Irish House of Lords, House of Lords. Ardee was a constituency represented in the Irish House of Commons from 1378 to 1801. History Ardee in County Louth was enfranchised as a borough constituency in 1378. In 1665 the Lord Lieutenant (James Butler, 1st Duke of Ormonde) wrote to the Portreeve of Ardee recommending Sir Robert Byron, as Burgess in Parliament for Ardee, in the room of Captain John Chambers, "removed" and Colonel Brent Moore, in the "stead of Lieutenant John Ruxton, removed". In the Patriot Parliament of 1689 summoned by King James II, Ardee was represented by two members. It continued to send two Members of Parliament to the Irish House of Commons until the Parliament of Ireland was merged into the Parliament of the United Kingdom on 1 January 1801. Chambré Brabazon Ponsonby
Chambré Brabazon Ponsonby (1720 – 20 February 1762) was an Irish Member of Parliament. He was the son of Major-General Henry Ponsonby by his wife Lady Frances, daughter of Chambré Brabazon, 5th Earl of Meath. His paternal grandfather was William Ponsonby, 1st Viscount Duncannon and Brabazon Ponsonby, 1st Earl of Bessborough was his uncle. He sat in the Irish House of Commons as member for Newtownards from 1750 to 1761. Personal life On 28 September 1746 he married Elizabeth, daughter of Edward Clarke.
