Sejm Constituency no. 25 () is a constituency of the Sejm electing twelve deputies. It consists of city counties of Gdańsk and Sopot, and land counties of Gdańsk, Kwidzyn, Malbork, Nowy Dwór, Starogard, Sztum, Tczew. Sejm
The Sejm (), officially known as the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (), is the lower house of the bicameralism, bicameral parliament of Poland. The Sejm has been the highest governing body of the Third Polish Republic since the Polish People's Republic, transition of government in 1989. Along with the upper house of parliament, the Senate of Poland, Senate, it forms the national legislature in Poland known as Parliament of Poland#National Assembly, National Assembly (). Voivodeship Sejmik
A voivodeship sejmik (), also known as a provincial or regional assembly, is the regional-level elected legislature for each of the sixteen voivodeships of Poland. Machnikowski et al., p. 21 Sejmiks are elected to five-year terms, decided during nationwide local elections. The size of the legislative assembly varies for each voivodeship depending on the population, ranging from 30 members in lesser populated provinces to 51 members in the most populous one. Elected representatives of an assembly are known as councillors (''radni''). Magdalena Joanna Sroka (born 15 July 1979) is a Polish police officer and politician, serving as a member of the Sejm since 2019. She was the leader of the Agreement (political party), Agreement political party between 2022 and 2023. Since 2023, she has been a member of the Polish People’s Party. Kacper Maciej Płażyński (; born May 10, 1989 in Gdańsk) is a Polish local government official and attorney, from 2018 to 2019 councilor of the city of Gdańsk, member of the Polish Lower House (Sejm) of the 9th and 10th term. Jarosław Leszek Wałęsa (; born 13 September 1976) is a Polish politician. He was elected to the Sejm on 25 September 2005, getting 14,709 votes in 25 Gdańsk district as a candidate from the Civic Platform list. He is the son of former Polish President Lech Wałęsa. Agnieszka Dominika Pomaska (born on 8 January 1980), is a Polish politician who has been a member of the Sejm since 2009, serving in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th terms. Early life Agnieszka Pomaska was born in Gdynia on 8 January 1980. Pomaska grew up in the Tricity (Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia) and came into contact with water sports as a child. City With Powiat Rights
A city with powiat rights () is in Poland a designation denoting 66 of the 107 cities (the urban gminas which are governed by a city mayor or ''prezydent miasta'') which exercise also the powers and duties of a Powiat, county (), thus being an independent city. They have roughly the same status as former county boroughs in the United Kingdom. Sometimes, such a city will also be referred to in Polish as city county (); this term however is not official (it was used during the interwar times of the Second Polish Republic). The contemporary term ''city with powiat rights'' should not be used interchangeably with the interwar ''city county''. Such cities are distinct from and independent of the 314 regular powiats (sometimes referred as 'land counties' (), again a term that was used in the interwar period and is not used in modern Polish law).
