Alejandro Gaviria Uribe
Alejandro Gaviria Uribe (born 25 June 1965) is a Colombian economist and engineer, serving as the Minister of National Education of Colombia since 7 August 2022, replacing María Victoria Angulo. He also served as Minister of Health and Social Protection of Colombia from 2012 to 2018. He is the former Rector of the University of Los Andes (Colombia), where he served from 2019 to August 2021. He was Dean of the School of Economics at University of los Andes in 2006, until his appointment as Minister in 2012. Prior to his academic career, Gaviria served as Deputy Director of the National Planning Department of Colombia, as well as Deputy Director of the Foundation for the Higher Education and Development ( Fedesarrollo), a private non-profit policy research centre, and as a Researcher at the Inter-American Development Bank. Víctor Manuel Gaviria González (born January 19, 1955, in Liborina, Antioquia, Colombia) is a Colombian film director, writer, and poet. His four feature-length films are acclaimed and have won many international awards. He is the first Colombian filmmaker to be featured at the Cannes Film Festival. He is often recognized as Colombia's most influential and well-known filmmaker. Early life He was born in the town of Liborina and raised in Medellin, Colombia, the sixth of 8 siblings. He grew up during the beginning of the Colombian conflict; an ongoing civil war between the Colombian government and extremist groups and drug cartels, which led to immense violence and unrest throughout Medellin. Simón Gaviria Muñoz (born 24 November 1980) is a Colombian economist and politician who served as Member of the Chamber of Representatives of Colombia from 2006 until 2014. The son of the 28th President of Colombia, César Gaviria, he also served as the Director of the National Planning Department during the second Santos government. He is an economist from the University of Pennsylvania and has a MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. He is remembered for voting for the 2012 Justice reform without having read it. Roberto Pupo Moreno (born 11 February 1959), usually known as Roberto Moreno and also as Pupo Moreno, is a Brazilian former auto racing, racing driver. He participated in 75 Formula One Grands Prix, achieved 1 podium, and scored a total of 15 championship points. He raced in Champ Car, CART in 1986, and was International Formula 3000, Formula 3000 champion (in 1988) before joining Formula One full-time in 1989. He returned to CART in 1996 where he enjoyed an Indian summer in 2000 and 2001, and managed to extend his career in the series until 2008. Hernán Gaviria Carvajal (27 November 1969 – 24 October 2002) was a Colombian footballer, who played as a central midfielder. Football career During his career, Gaviria played for Atlético Nacional, Deportes Tolima, Deportivo Cali, Atlético Bucaramanga and Shonan Bellmare of the J2 League. Guillermo Gaviria Correa
Guillermo Gaviria Correa (November 27, 1962, Medellín – May 5, 2003) was the state governor of Antioquia, a province of over 6 million people in northwestern Colombia. Kidnapped by FARC guerrillas during a march against violence on April 21, 2002, he was held captive for over a year deep in the northwestern Colombian jungle, bordering between Antioquia and Chocó, until he was killed there by the FARC along with other nine fellow hostages, including the politician and former Minister of defense, Gilberto Echeverri Mejía, in response to an attempted military rescue on May 5, 2003.
