Enrique Sacerio-Garí
Enrique Sacerio-Garí (born 2 October 1945) is a Cuban-American author and was professor of Spanish at Bryn Mawr College from 1977 to 2022. He is most well-known for his poetry and his academic work on Jorge Luis Borges. Early life and education Sacerio-Garí was born in 1945 in Sagua La Grande in Cuba. He immigrated from Cuba to the United States in 1959. In Sagua, he studied at the Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, Academia Rivero and Academia José Martí. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.A in Spanish from the University of Connecticut, and he attained a PhD from Yale University with a thesis on the literature of Jorge Luis Borges. He was naturalized in 1977. Since 1979, he has travelled back to Cuba multiple times. He is married to Diana G. Sacerio, a professor of Spanish at The Baldwin School and former professor at Franklin & Marshall and Rosemont College. They have a daughter and a son. Lluís Bonet I Garí
Lluis Bonet Garí () (5 August 1893 – 30 January 1993) was a Catalans, Catalan architect of the Noucentisme movement. Early life and education Bonet was the son of Miquel Bonet Amigó, Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Barcelona. His maternal uncle, Josep Garí, was a second cousin to Josep Puig i Cadafalch, a fellow architect whom Garí commissioned for the renovation of his summer home in Sant Miquel del Cros, Argentona in 1898. Bonet was inspired by the work as a child, and encouraged him to pursue a career in architecture. He studied at the and graduated in 1918. During his years he trained with his Puig, his 2nd cousin 1x removed, and attended the Galí Academy. Mateo Nicolau Garí (18 August 1920 – 29 October 2005) was an Argentinian footballer who played as a forward for San Lorenzo in Argentina, Club América in Mexico, and most notably for Barcelona in Catalonia from 1948 to 1952. Biography Born in the Argentine city of General Pico in La Pampa Province, on 18 August 1920, Nicolau began his career in his hometown club ''Central Silverino'' in 1935, aged only 15, and then played for a further two Argentinian clubs, Atlético Tucumán (1937–1940) and then three seasons at San Lorenzo, from 1940 to 1943, scoring 9 goals in 48 matches. He then moved to Mexico, where he played two seasons for Club América (1943–45) and three seasons with Atlante (1945–48), winning the 1946–47 Mexican league title with the latter. Cuevas De La Araña
The Coves de l'Aranya (in original Catalan language, known in English as the Spider Caves and in Spanish Cuevas de la Araña) are a group of caves in the municipality of Bicorp in València, eastern Spain. The caves are in the valley of the river Escalona and were used by prehistoric people who left rock art. They are known for painted images of a bow and arrow goat hunt and for a scene depicting a human figure foraging honey, the earliest known depiction of bees and the oldest evidence of honey consumption by ''Homo sapiens''. The dating of such art is controversial, but the famous honey-gathering painting is believed to be epipaleolithic and is estimated to be around 8000 years old. Argentona
Argentona () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the south-east side of the granite littoral zone, to the north-west of Mataró. The town is both a tourist centre and a notable horticultural centre. A local road links the municipality with Cabrera de Mar and with the main N-II road at Vilassar de Mar. The town centre has buildings in a wide range of styles. The late gothic church of Sant Julià was restored by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. The same architect designed ''Casa Gari'', a private residence adjoining the chapel of Sant Miquel del Cros, a work in the style of Antoni Gaudí by Lluís Bonet (1929). Tiana () is a town situated in the east of the Province of Barcelona (Catalonia) in northeastern Spain, near the Mediterranean Sea.
