Gamze Durmuş Pakkan (; 1994) is a Turkish female FIFA International Referees List, FIFA-listed referee (association football), football referee. She is an academic at Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. Sports career Domestic competitions Durmuş was born in 1993, and started her football official career as Assistant referee (association football), assistant referee in a Turkish Women's Football Third League match played in Ankara on 7 December 2014. UEFA Group E of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification competition consists of six teams: Denmark, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Malta, and Montenegro. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system. The video assistant referee (VAR) is a Assistant referee (association football), match official in association football who assists the referee by reviewing decisions using video footage and providing advice to the referee based on those reviews. The assistant video assistant referee (AVAR) is a match official appointed to assist the VAR in the video operation room and around the pitch. There are three AVARs (AVAR1, AVAR2, and AVAR3) who are assigned to different parts of the game that they are charged with reviewing and are in consistent communication with the VAR about possible situations that might warrant further review.
