Galip Kulaksızoğlu
Galip Kulaksızoğlu (1889 Kadıköy – 22 November 1939, Istanbul) was a Turkish people, Turkish Association football, footballer and Manager (association football), manager. He was among the founding line-up of the Turkish football club Fenerbahçe S.K. (football), Fenerbahçe. He served the club for 17 years both as a player and manager. He was known for his sportsmanship and passion for the game. He was born in 1889 in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, the capital of the Ottoman Empire. Around 1906-07, while he was studying at Lycée Saint-Joseph, Istanbul, Istanbul Lycée Saint-Joseph, which is still an active school in Kadıköy, he joined the Fenerbahçe S.K. (football), Fenerbahçe football team with the suggestion of Enver Yetiker ''(He is one of the founding members of Fenerbahçe)'', his literature teacher at the school. Kadıköy
Kadıköy () is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district on the Asian side of Istanbul Province, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 25 km2, and its population is 467,919 (2023). 1911–12 Istanbul Football League
The 1911–12 İstanbul Football League season was the 8th season of the league. Fenerbahçe won the league for the first time. Galatasaray protested Istanbul League Organization' s decision regarding Adnan İbrahim Pirioglu's penalty and did not join the league. Fenerbahçe, which developed and strengthened its squad with new young players, became champions without being defeated. The most important aspect of this season was that with Fenerbahçe being champions, the championship streak of English and Greek teams completely ended, and from this date on, only Turkish teams became champions in the Istanbul Football League. Lycée Saint-Joseph () is a private high school located in Istanbul, Turkey. It is a French school founded in 1870. Classes are taught in Turkish, French, and English. Fenerbahçe S.K. was formed by students of this high school. History This school was founded by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (De La Salle Brothers). The Catholic lay religious congregation of pontifical right for men was established by Saint Jean-Baptiste when it first came to Turkey in 1841. Pensionnat Saint-Joseph, a school for boys, was first established in Pera, now Beyoğlu, in 1857. Its successor Frères des Ecoles Chrétiennes was established in 1860.
