Galib Ibn Abd Al-Rahman
Ghālib ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Nāṣirī (c. 900 – 10 July 981), called al-Ṣiqlabī, was a military commander in the Caliphate of Córdoba, ʿUmayyad caliphate of Córdoba, serving the caliphs ʿAbd al-Raḥmān III, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān III ''al-Nāṣir'', al-Ḥakam II and Hishām II on both land and sea. For his military prowess, he was granted the honorific ''Dhu ʾl-Sayfayn'' (Lord of the Two Swords). Ghālib's rise coincides with the retirement of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān III from active military command following his defeat at the Battle of Simancas in 939. In the 940s, Ghālib consolidated ʿUmayyad control over Toledo, Spain, Toledo and Medinaceli. In the 950s, he led a series of ''Ghazw, razzias'' into Christian territory to the north, bringing back booty and prisoners. Eudaldo Báez Galib is a Puerto Rican politician and former senator. He was a member of the Senate of Puerto Rico from 1993 to 2005. Biography Báez Galib was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. He received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economy from the University of Puerto Rico, and then graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1965. He is a member of Phi Sigma Alpha fraternity. After graduating, Báez Galib worked as a private attorney from 1965 to 1985. He presided the Puerto Rico Bar Association several times, as well as being a member of the Board. Haidar Ghaleb (1958–1983) was a Yemeni plastic artist born in the village of Akaba, 'Uzlah of al-Aroq, Taiz Governorate. He was one of the pioneers of plastic art in Yemen. Biography His artistic career began with painting in watercolor at Al Tayyar Model School and making clay facial sculptures of fellow villagers, including his father, grandmother, grandfather, and some of the elderly in his village. He then began sculpting faces on stones from a nearby river, some of which belonged to Gamal Abdel Nasser, among others. After completing his primary education in the village, he moved to Sana'a to continue his studies. He studied architecture at the Chinese Art School. He graduated earning a technical high school degree with honors in 1978. He fulfilled his national service, and then worked as a draftsman at the ministry. Galib Malik oglu Israfilov (born May 9, 1975) is an Azerbaijani diplomat currently serving as Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Galib Musa oglu Jafarov (); is a Kazakh boxer of Azerbaijani descent, best known to win the gold medal at the 2003 World Amateur Boxing Championships in the Featherweight (– 57 kg) division. Galib Mammadov (born April 19, 1946) is an Azerbaijani-Norwegian composer. He is influenced by both Western and Eastern music traditions and composed a wide range of musical pieces for various instruments and orchestras. Biography Galib Mammadov was born in Ganja, Azerbaijan which, at that time, belonged to the Soviet Union. Ali ibn Abi Talib (; ) was the fourth Rashidun caliph who ruled from until Assassination of Ali, his assassination in 661, as well as the first imamate in Shia doctrine, Shia Imam.
