Glycogen Storage Disease
A glycogen storage disease (GSD, also glycogenosis and dextrinosis) is a metabolic disorder caused by a deficiency of an enzyme or transport protein affecting glycogen synthesis, glycogen breakdown, or glycolysis, glucose breakdown, typically in muscles and/or liver cells. GSD has two classes of cause: genetic and environmental. Genetic GSD is caused by any Inborn errors of carbohydrate metabolism, inborn error of carbohydrate metabolism (genetically defective enzymes or transport proteins) involved in these processes. In livestock, environmental GSD is caused by Substance intoxication, intoxication with the alkaloid castanospermine. However, not every inborn error of carbohydrate metabolism has been assigned a GSD number, even if it is known to affect the muscles or liver. GSD&M is an American advertising agency headquartered in Austin, Texas. The German Shepherd, also known in Britain as an Alsatian, is a German breed of working dog of medium to large size. A Global Species Database (GSD) is a digital catalog of organisms often defined around a conservation purpose for the organisms of interest. GSDs attempt to be globally inclusive of species within their inclusion parameters versus local species databases. GSD Microscopy
Ground state depletion microscopy (GSD microscopy) is an implementation of the RESOLFT concept. The method was proposed in 1995 and experimentally demonstrated in 2007. It is the second concept to overcome the diffraction barrier in far-field optical microscopy published by Stefan Hell. Using nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamonds a resolution of up to 7.8 nm was achieved in 2009. This is far below the diffraction limit (~200 nm). Principle In GSD microscopy, fluorescent markers are used. In one condition, the marker can freely be excited from ground state and returns spontaneously via emission of a fluorescence photon. Garsdale is a railway station in Cumbria, England (historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire), on the Settle–Carlisle line, Settle and Carlisle Line, which runs between and via .
