Fredensborg Housing
Fredensborg () is a railway town located in Fredensborg Municipality, North Zealand, some 30 kilometres north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is most known for Fredensborg Palace, one of the official residences of the Danish Royal Family. As of 1 January 2022, the town had a population of 8,965. History The earliest settlement in the area was the village of Asminderød. The town of Fredensborg emerged outside Fredensborg Palace, which was completed in 1722. The name, which means the Palace of Peace," commemorates the termination of the Great Northern War. Fredensborg Station opened on the new North Line in 1868. Fredensborg Palace
Fredensborg Palace ( da, Fredensborg Slot; ) is a palace located on the eastern shore of Lake Esrum (Danish, ''Esrum Sø'') in Fredensborg on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in Denmark. It is the Danish Royal Family’s spring and autumn residence, and is often the site of important state visits and events in the Royal Family. It is the most used of the Royal Family’s residences. History At the end of the Great Northern War King Frederick IV asked architect Johan Cornelius Krieger, royal gardener to the court at Rosenborg Castle, to build him a small pleasure palace on the site of a farmyard named Østrup. Krieger built the French-inspired baroque palace 1720–1726, and the King himself took an active part in the planning of the building and grounds, and followed construction closely. Nordbanen
Nordbanen is one of six radial S-train lines in Copenhagen. It connects Copenhagen city center with several northern suburbs, and the cities of Hillerød, Birkerød and Allerød Stations Service patterns The weekday service consists of service A which stops at all stations until Holte, and E which runs with limited stops until Holte and then stops at all stations until Hillerød. Little North Line
The Little North Line ( da, Lille Nord) is a local railway line which runs between Hillerød and Helsingør in North Zealand north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The most important town along the route is Fredensborg, home to Fredensborg Palace, one of the Danish Royal Family's two main residences. The railway line is standard gauge and single track, and the distance from Hillerød to Helsingør is . The railway opened in 1864 as part of the North Line between Copenhagen and Helsingør by way of Hillerød. Espergærde is a town situated in North Zealand near Øresund in Denmark and is statistically considered part of the larger urban area Espergærde-Snekkersten- Elsinore, some 5 to 8 km south of the centre of Elsinore and in reality separated from the urban area of Elsinore-Snekkersten by a 100 m wide unbuilt area, Egebæksvang forest and area under natural protection around Flynderupgård (previously a village, later a farm, today a museum). Karlebo
Karlebo Kommune was until 1 January 2007 a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Frederiksborg County on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 40 km², and had a total population of 19,163 (2005). Its last mayor was Olav Aaen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Kokkedal. Other towns in the municipality were Kirkelte, Karlebo, Gunderød, Avderød, Hesselrød, Vejenbrød, and Nivå.
