Fred Keating (actor)
Fred Keating is a Canadian-American actor based in Greater Vancouver, Canada. History Fred Keating was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1949 and raised in Detroit, Michigan. In the 1970s, after touring a one-man show through England, Scotland and Ireland Keating relocated to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he was a Special Guest Lecturer in the Department of Drama at the University of Alberta and Camrose Lutheran College (now The Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta) (1976-1978). Keating became one of the founding actors in Catalyst Theatre, an organization producing shows (televised and in schools/conferences) dealing with social issues. ''Dead Man's Gun'' was a western anthology series on Showtime from 1997 to 1999. The series followed the travels of a gun as it passed to a new character in each episode. The gun would change the life of whoever possessed it. Each episode was narrated by Kris Kristofferson. The executive producer was Henry Winkler. Plot Set in the Old West, this anthology follows the eponymous artifact, a handsome yet cursed gun that brings either disaster or fortune to whoever possesses it. In some cases of the former consequence, the gun's more villainous owners are killed at the end of the episode, while in others they live but suffer for their misdeeds. ''Ordeal in the Arctic'' is a television film written by Paul F. Edwards and directed by Mark Sobel. The film stars Richard Chamberlain, Catherine Mary Stewart, Melanie Mayron, Scott Hylands and Page Fletcher.
