Frank Church High School
Frank Church High School is an alternative public secondary school in Boise, Idaho, operated by the Boise School District. Opened in 2008, it was formed from the merger of Mountain Cove High School and Fort Boise Mid High School. It serves grades 9–12, with the majority of the enrollment in the upper grades. FCHS is named after Frank Church, a prominent U.S. Senator from 1957 to 1981, and an alumnus of Boise High School, class of 1942. The school is located in southwest Boise, immediately east of the new West Junior High School, also opened in 2008. FCHS also hosts the Boise Evening School program and B.A.S.E (Boise Alternative to Suspension and Expulsion) formerly known as the Victory Academy. Frank Church
Frank Forrester Church III (July 25, 1924 – April 7, 1984) was an Americans, American politician and lawyer. A member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party, he served as a United States Senate, United States senator from Idaho from 1957 until his defeat in 1981. Boise High School is a public secondary school in Boise, Idaho, one of five traditional high schools within the city limits, four of which are in the Boise School District. A three-year comprehensive high school, Boise High is located on the outlying edge of the city's downtown business core. The enrollment for the 2014–15 school year was approximately 1,481. Cedric Minter
Cedric Alwyn Minter (born November 13, 1958), is a former professional football player, an award-winning running back in the Canadian Football League. After his playing career, Minter became an educator and is currently a junior high school assistant principal in Boise, Idaho. Early years Born into a military family in Charleston, South Carolina, Minter moved with his family to Mountain Home Air Force Base in southwestern Idaho in 1959, when he was a few months old. A year later the family moved to nearby Boise, where he grew up and played his high school football in the mid-1970s for Borah High School under head coach Delane "De" Pankratz.
