Fordham Urban Law Journal
The ''Fordham Urban Law Journal'' is a student-run law review published at Fordham University School of Law. The journal publishes articles on a wide range of themes, with a focus on public policy and issues affecting urban areas. Overview The journal was established in 1972 and publishes five to six issues annually. It is the fifth-most cited student-edited specialty law journal in the United States and the seventh-most cited in judicial opinions. It is the second-most cited student-edited publication for public policy. Second-year law students apply for staff positions by participating in the school's unified writing competition. Robert Abrams (born July 4, 1938) is an American attorney and politician. He served as the attorney general of New York from 1979 to 1993 and was the Democratic nominee for the 1992 United States Senate election in New York. Stanley Fink
Stanley Fink (February 6, 1936 – March 4, 1997) was an American lawyer and politician. Life Fink was born on February 6, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York City. He attended New Utrecht High School. He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1956, and from New York University School of Law in 1959. He then joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in England as a second lieutenant with the Judge Advocate General's office. He was discharged in 1962 as a captain. Frederick August Otto Schwarz
Frederick August Otto Schwarz (October 18, 1836 – May 17, 1911) was a German-born American toy retailer known for founding FAO Schwarz. Biography Schwarz was born to a German Lutheran family in 1836 at Herford, Province of Westphalia, Kingdom of Prussia and immigrated to the United States in 1856 with his three brothers, Henry, Richard, and Gustav. He worked for a Baltimore stationery importer. German exporters sometimes packed toys and other items in with the stationery in the hope of expanding their exports. Schwarz put the toys in the store window, and they outsold the stationery. By 1862 he had switched to selling the toys from his own shop, and in 1870 he moved his business to Manhattan in New York City. He married Caroline Clausen (1841–1904). John Feerick
John D. Feerick (born July 12, 1936) is a law professor at Fordham University School of Law in New York City. He served as the school's eighth dean from 1982-2002. From 2002-2004, he was the Leonard F. Manning Professor of Law at Fordham, and in 2004, he was named to the Sidney C. Norris Chair of Law in Public Service. Biography Prior to entering academia in 1982, Feerick was a labor and employment attorney in the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Karen S. Burstein (born July 20, 1942) is an American Democratic Party politician, attorney, civil servant, and former judge from the State of New York.
