The First Methodist Church is a historic church at the junction of Chestnut and 4th Streets, NW corner in Lewisville, Arkansas. The single-story brick building was designed by Witt, Seibert & Company of Texarkana and built in 1913. It is distinctive as one of the only church buildings to survive from Lewisville's period of economic prosperity during the lumber boom, and as an Akron Plan design with Classical Revival features. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The First Methodist Church in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is a historic church at 502 N. Main Street. It was built as the Wagner Opera House. The main structure was built in Italianate style 1874-75 but it was renovated extensively to its current Neoclassical appearance in 1924–25. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. It is a brick building. It is unusual in Wisconsin as an urban church building with storefronts at street-level. The building was begun as an opera house, until damaged by a fire in 1874. At that point the Methodist congregation bought it and completed it as a Neo-Classical-styled church. The First Methodist Church in Monroe, Green County, Wisconsin, now the Monroe Arts Center, is a Gothic Revival edifice designed by the former Wisconsin State Architect E. Townsend Mix of Milwaukee and constructed of Cream City brick. It was commissioned in 1869 by the First Methodist Episcopal congregation of Monroe to replace an earlier church building that dated to 1843. The adjacent parsonage was completed in 1886, and the complete ensemble was finally dedicated in 1887. with With its pointed-arch windows as well as the steeply pitched roof and tall, narrow tower, the church exemplifies the late-Gothic revival style. The angled corner belfry tower and decorative brickwork are additional hallmarks of Mix's design. The First Methodist Church of Burlington is a historic church located at 21 Buell Street (corner of S. Winooski Avenue) in Burlington, Vermont. Built in 1869 to a design by Alexander R. Esty, it is the city's only example of ecclesiastical Romanesque Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Architecture and history Burlington's First Methodist Church stands in downtown Burlington, at the southeast corner of Buell Street and South Winooski Avenue. It is a large masonry structure, built out of red sandstone with trim from the quarries of Isle La Motte. It is basically rectangular in shape, with a gabled roof and a square tower in height at its northwest corner. First Methodist Church (First United Methodist Church; Methodist Episcopal Church of South Marshall) is a historic Methodist church at 300 E. Houston Street in Marshall, Texas. It has also been known as First United Methodist Church and as Methodist Episcopal Church of South Marshall. It is a stuccoed brick Greek Revival-style church with a portico having four monumental square columns; such architecture is rare in Texas. It was documented in 1936 by the Historic American Buildings Survey. The portico was originally topped by a belfry but that was replaced in 1949 by a large octagonal cupola.
