Fickle Friends
Fickle Friends are an English indie rock band from Brighton, East Sussex, England. The band formed in 2013, and is made up of Natassja Shiner (vocals, keyboard), Harry Herrington ( bass, backing vocals), Sam Morris ( drums) and Jack Wilson ( keyboards). Natassja met Sam at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and met Chris, Harry and Jack the following year in BIMM Brighton. After two years touring the UK and Europe without a label or publisher and playing 53 festivals across 2 years, Fickle Friends signed to Polydor Records. The band recorded their debut album in Los Angeles with Mike Crossey and it was released on 16 March 2018 during a promotional UK tour. Brighton
Brighton () is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the City of Brighton and Hove in the county of East Sussex, England. It is located south of London. Archaeological evidence of settlement in the area dates back to the Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods. The ancient settlement of "Brighthelmstone" was documented in the ''Domesday Book'' (1086). Amber Run is a British indie rock band from Nottingham, UK composed of Joshua "Joe" Keogh, Tom Sperring, and Henry Wyeth. The band have released three full-length albums. three mini-albums and five EPs. Initially called Amber, they later changed their name to avoid conflict with the German dance-pop singer of same name. History Formation Joshua Keogh, Tom Sperring and Will Jones were originally friends from Buckinghamshire at Dr Challoner's Grammar School where they played in an alt rock band. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. ''You Are Someone Else'' is the debut studio album by British indie pop collective Fickle Friends. It was released on 16 March 2018 through Polydor Records. The album and single artwork was designed by visual artist Mat Maitland, who worked with the likes of Michael Jackson and Josef Salvat and is the co-creator of the seafox mascot for Galantis. Background After the band officially released their debut extended play, entitled ''Velvet'' in 2015, which was produced alongside Mike Crossey, they started recording new music with the intention of going in a different direction sonically, but not veering far off from their pop rock roots. In 2016, they released the single "Swim", which was released originally as their debut single back in 2014. Mike Crossey
Mike Crossey (born 1979) is a Northern Irish record producer, songwriter, and mixing engineer. He produced the debut single by Arctic Monkeys, collaborating with them over two albums. He is known for his ongoing relationship with The 1975 in addition to productions with Jeremy Zucker, Twenty One Pilots, Walk the Moon, LANY, LAUV, Foals, Keane, Jake Bugg, The Gaslight Anthem, MUNA, Wolf Alice, Yungblud. Career Crossey started his career as a promoter of punk shows in Belfast before moving to Liverpool to complete his training at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. He remained in Liverpool, operating out of the Motor Museum, until 2012. During that period he produced some of the most critically acclaimed British indie acts.
