Fábio Luiz Magalhães
Fábio Luiz de Jesus Magalhães (; born 13 March 1979 in Marataízes) is a male beach volleyball player from Brazil. Magalhães won the gold medal in the men's beach team competition at the 2005 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Berlin, Germany, and the silver medal at 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, partnering with Márcio Araújo (volleyball), Márcio Araújo. Marataízes is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality located by the Atlantic Ocean in southern Espírito Santo, Brazil. It has a population of 38,883 and holds as such the highest density in the state. Marataízes is a tourist city. Brazil sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, in August 2008. Brazilian athletes have competed in every Summer Olympic Games since 1920, except the 1928 Summer Olympics. The country is represented by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB – Comitê Olímpico Brasileiro). Brazil headed to the Beijing Games with its largest Olympic delegation at the time, 277 athletes, including 132 women. The particles composing a beach are typically made from rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, etc., or biological sources, such as mollusc shells or coralline algae. Sediments settle in different densities and structures, depending on the local wave action and weather, creating different textures, colors and gradients or layers of material. Though some beaches form on inland freshwater locations such as lakes and rivers, most beaches are in coastal areas where wave or current action deposits and reworks sediments. Phil Dalhausser
Philip Peter Dalhausser (born January 26, 1980) is an American former professional beach volleyball player, who played as a blocker. He and his former playing partner, Todd Rogers, were the 2007 AVP Tour and FIVB world champions. Dalhausser and Rogers dominated both the domestic US tour and now the FIVB international tour, winning #1 team honors on both tours in 2010. Dalhausser and Rogers were Olympic gold medalists at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. In 2023, Dalhausser was inducted into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour (known between 2003 and 2012 as the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour for sponsorship reasons) was the worldwide professional beach volleyball tour for both men and women organized by the ' (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball, FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The World Tour was introduced 1989 for men and in 1992 for women being held yearly since then until 2021 when it was replaced by the new Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.
