Fuxing District, Taoyuan
Fuxing District ( Atayal: Pyasan; ), formerly known as Fuxing Township or Fu-Hsing Township () is a mountain indigenous district in eastern Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The main population is the Atayal people of the Taiwanese aborigines. Lala Mountain (拉拉山) is a major feature of Fuxing, and the Shimen Reservoir, formed by Shimen Dam, is a popular nearby site. Fuxing District is, by area, the largest district in Taoyuan City. History Under Japanese rule, Fuxing District was classified as Aboriginal Land (蕃地). In August 2015, the Heliu community in the district were completely buried by landslide triggered by Typhoon Soudelor. District (Taiwan)
Districts are administrative subdivisions of Taiwan's Special municipality (Taiwan), special municipalities of the second level and Provincial city (Taiwan), provincial cities of the third level formerly under its provinces. There are two types of district in the administrative scheme: Ordinary districts are governed directly by the municipality/city government, with district administrators appointed by mayors to four-year terms. The mountain indigenous district is a local government body with elected district chiefs as well as district council serving four-year terms. Typhoon Soudelor (2015)
Typhoon Soudelor, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Hanna, was the third most intense tropical cyclone worldwide in 2015 after Hurricane Patricia and Cyclone Pam as well as the strongest tropical cyclone of the 2015 Pacific typhoon season. Soudelor had severe impacts in the Northern Mariana Islands, Taiwan, and eastern China, resulting in 40 confirmed fatalities. Lesser effects were felt in Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. The thirteenth named storm of the annual typhoon season, Soudelor formed as a tropical depression near Pohnpei on July 29. The system strengthened slowly at first before entering a period of rapid intensification on August 2. Soudelor made landfall on Saipan later that day, causing extensive damage. Xiao Wulai Waterfall

Jiguopai Old Church
The Jiguopai Old Church () is a church in Sanmin Village, Fuxing District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. History The church was built by Huang Rong-quan, a Presbyterian Church priest in Taiwan, in 1964 with a group of Atayal people. It underwent reconstruction after 2000 after its roof collapsed and damaged the building. In 2004, the building was designated as a historical spot by the Taoyuan County Government. In 2013, the church was selected as one of the ''100 Religious Attractions in Taiwan'' by the Ministry of the Interior. Baleng Tower
The Baleng Tower () is a tower in Fuxing District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Architecture The 29.5 meters high tower was constructed in a former fort built during the Japanese rule of Taiwan.
