, often translated as ''Strange'' or ''Mysterious'', is the ninth studio album by Japanese singer Akina Nakamori, released on August 11, 1986 through Warner Music Japan, Warner Pioneer. Background In February or March 1986 the name of the album was announced, along with an early track set list. Originally, the album was supposed to include the promotional single "Fin" along with its B-side (they were later released in the mini compilation album ''CD'87, CD87''). Some tracks had names which were later used in other studio albums ("Akai Mystery" in ''Cruise (Akina Nakamori album), Cruise'' and "Fire Starter" in ''Stock (album), Stock''). The album track "Fushigi" was later re-recorded in the mini album ''Wonder (Akina Nakamori album), Wonder''. In May, an inquiry letter was included inside the single "Gypsy Queen", with information about the planned release of the album in early July, however due to production issues, the release was postponed to August. Akina Nakamori
is a Japanese singer and actress. She is one of the most popular and best-selling artists in Japan. Akina achieved national recognition after winning the 1981 season of the talent show '' Star Tanjō!''. Her debut single " Slow Motion" was released to moderate success, peaking at number thirty on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Nakamori's popularity increased with the release of her follow-up single, " Shōjo A", which peaked at number five on the Oricon charts and sold over 390,000 copies. Her second album ''Variation'' became her first number-one on the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart, staying in that position for three weeks. She made her acting debut in 1985 with an appearance in the Japanese romance movie '' Ai, Tabidachi''. Akira Inoue (musician)
(born 8 September 1953), is a Japanese keyboard player, composer and producer. He was the recipient of the 23rd Japan Record Awards arranger award. History Inoue was born in Tokyo. His father was the pioneering Japanese cello player Yoritoro Inoue (井上頼豊). In the late 1970s, he played in the fusion group PARACHUTE. He released his first of many solo albums in the early 1980s. He has also composed, arranged, and performed music for several films and OVAs, including SF Shinseiki Lensman, Lily C.A.T., and the Japan/West Germany 1984 film Windy Story. In the 1990s, he played in The Voice Project and on projects with Masako Kawamura. Sandii & The Sunsetz
Sandii & the Sunsetz were a Japanese synthpop band that collaborated from 1979 until the #1990s. The Sunsetz, led by Makoto Kubota, and Sandii started as separate artists, and each have a separate discography. However, their collaboration provided a particular body of work that is representative of the period, and which successfully blended Eastern, Western and pop influences. Career Early days - born Sandra O'Neale - was born in Japan to an American father of Irish and Spanish ancestry and a Japanese mother. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website. Reverberation (also known as reverb), in acoustics, is a persistence of sound, after a sound is produced. Reverberation is created when a sound or signal is reflected causing numerous reflections to build up and then decay as the sound is absorbed by the surfaces of objects in the space – which could include furniture, people, and air. This is most noticeable when the sound source stops but the reflections continue, their amplitude decreasing, until zero is reached.
