Fuerteventura–Canarias () was a UCI Professional Continental cycling team based in Spain. The team was founded in late 2006 ready to compete in the 2007 season, as a follow-up of the Comunidad Valenciana The Valencian Community is an autonomous community of Spain. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Antonio Piedra Pérez (born 10 October 1985) is a Spanish former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2007 and 2017 for the , , , and squads. Career Born in Seville, Piedra became a professional in 2007, competing for the team, before joining in 2008. He spent four years with the team before joining the team for the 2012 season. Piedra took a prestigious victory by winning the Rogaland GP in May 2012, soloing away to win by 35 seconds over his nearest challenger. He participated in that year's Vuelta a España, his team being invited as a 'wildcard', and had a major victory on stage 15, a high mountain affair finishing atop the Lakes of Covadonga climb. Joaquín Vicente Eulogio Ortega y Joaquino (March 11, 1868 – May 31, 1943) was a Filipino politician who was the first civil governor of the province of La Union. His tenure marked the centuries long presence of the Ortega political family in the affairs of the province. Biography Ortega was born in Cebu in 1868. In his early career, he worked as a cashier for the '' Compañia General de Tabacos de Filipinas'' in La Union. He later represented La Union in the Malolos Congress during the Philippine Revolution. Political career The Taft Commission of the United States-backed Insular Government of the Philippine Islands appointed Ortega as the first provincial civil governor of La Union on August 15, 1901. He was affiliated with Partido Federal. In the February 1902 local election, he became the first elected La Union governor. He served until February 1904.
