Frölunda HC (women)
Frölunda HC are an ice hockey team in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They play in the Västra Frölunda borough of Gothenburg, Sweden at Frölundaborg. History Frölunda HC chose to form a women's team in 2022, one year after the club introduced a () program for girls. The club highlighted its desire to build an elite team for its eight students, to provide an opportunity for other girls in the greater region to play at the senior level without having to move far from home, and to attract senior players originally from the Västergötland area who were playing with other teams but would return to Gothenburg to play with Frölunda HC. Sarah-Ève Coutu-Godbout
Sarah-Ève Coutu-Godbout (born June 16, 1997) is a Canadian ice hockey player, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Frölunda HC. She won a silver medal with the Canadian under-18 national team at the 2016 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship. Playing career Coutu-Godbout attended Cégep Limoilou in Québec City for secondary school, where she studied administration and economics. While studying, she played for the cégep's ice hockey team, Les Titans, putting up 51 points in 43 games. In 2015, she was the recipient of a $1500 bursary from the NHL's Montreal Canadiens, along with teammate Élizabeth Giguère, for excellence in women's youth hockey in Québec. In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. Luleå Hockey/MSSK are a semi-professional ice hockey team in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They play in Luleå, a port city in northeastern Sweden, at Coop Norrbotten Arena. The team is the most successful in SDHL history, having been regular season champions for four consecutive years, 2015–2019, and winning the Swedish Championship seven times within eight years, from 2016 to 2024. In sport, a whitewash or sweep is a series in which a person or team wins every game, or when a player or team wins a match to-nil. Nationella Damhockeyligan () or NDHL is the second-highest women's ice hockey league in Sweden. It was previously known as the Damettan or Damettan i ishockey during 2015 to 2021, and Division 1 during 2007 to 2015. The league engages in active promotion and relegation with the top-tier Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) and the third-tier Damtvåan. Beginning with the first official women's ice hockey Swedish Championship in 1988, the Division 1 served as the premier league for women's ice hockey and the winner of its playoffs was named Swedish Champion.
