Idabel station, also known as Frisco Station, is a train station that was built in 1912 by the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway in Idabel, Oklahoma. It replaced an earlier frame structure that had been constructed in 1902. Idabel is a city in and the county seat of McCurtain County, Oklahoma, McCurtain County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 6,961 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. It is in Oklahoma's southeast corner, a tourist region known as Choctaw Country. History Idabel was established in 1902 as a station by the St. Louis, San Francisco and New Orleans Railroad, Arkansas and Choctaw Railway.
