Frigate Lieutenant
Frigate lieutenant is a naval rank in the naval forces of several countries. The rank of Frigate Lieutenant (officially Light Frigate Lieutenant, ) was a rank in the French Royal Navy until 1786. It was used by officers promoted from outside the ranks of the gardes de la marine, such as merchant navy officers, promoted volunteers or colonial gentry. The rank of Frigate Lieutenant was equivalent, but junior to, to the rank of Ship Ensign. Some Frigate Lieutenants were eventually promoted Fireship Captains (), equivalent to Ship-of-the-Line Lieutenants. Navy Of El Salvador
The Navy of El Salvador () is the naval arm of the Armed Forces of El Salvador. The navy was founded on 12 October 1951. Built around craft and duties absorbed from the Salvadoran Coast Guard, the navy is primarily composed of patrol boats tasked with coastal patrol and fishery protection. The current fleet is made up of three Camcraft-type patrol boats originally built in the United States for use as oilfield crew boats. The Slovenian Navy, officially the 430th Naval Division (also 430th Naval Section) is not a separate service, but an integral part of the Slovenian Armed Forces. Paraguayan Navy
The Paraguayan Navy () is the maritime force of the Armed Forces of Paraguay, in charge of the defense of Paraguay's waters despite not having direct access to the sea. It has gone to war on two occasions: the War of the Triple Alliance (1864–1870) against Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, and the Chaco War (1932–1935) against Bolivia. Although Paraguay is a landlocked country, it has a strong naval tradition by virtue of the fact that it has access to the Atlantic Ocean through the Paraguay– Paraná rivers. The Paraguayan Navy has twelve bases. The main base is the Puerto Sajonia in Asuncion, followed by Bahia Negra, Ciudad del Este, Encarnacion, Salto del Guaira. The Nicaraguan Navy, officially the Naval Force of the Nicaraguan Army, () is the naval service branch of the Nicaraguan Armed Forces. Gardes De La Marine
Gardes de la Marine is a junior officer rank, usually used in American navies, as well as a former rank used in France. France In France, under the Ancien Régime, the (Guards of the Navy), or were young gentlemen undergoing training to be naval officers. The training program was established by Cardinal Richelieu in 1670 and lasted until Admiral Charles Eugène Gabriel de La Croix abolished it in 1786. The Gardes-Marine received a brevet commission from the King and were organized into companies, established at the harbors of Brest, Toulon, and Rochefort. All naval officers were drawn from these companies, which were the equivalent of the current naval school. The Navy of the Dominican Republic (), is one of the three branches of the Armed Forces of the Dominican Republic, together with the Army and the Air Force. History After the Dominican Republic gained its independence from Haiti on February 27, 1844, there was a need to create a naval fleet. Three schooners were commissioned for this, (flagship), ''María Chica'' and ''Leonor''.
