François-Marie Treyve
François-Marie Treyve (1847–1906) was a French landscape gardener. Life Treyve originated from Trévoux. He was trained by his father-in-law, Joseph Marie. In the 1880s he was appointed Inspector of Parks and Gardens of Vichy. He took over from his father-in-law at Moulins in 1881 and set up the landscape gardening firm ''Établissements Treyve-Marie'', in which he in turned trained his sons, Joseph and François. He transformed the old park at Vichy and created the ''Parc des Célestins''. Trévoux (; ) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. The inhabitants are known as Trévoltiens. It is a popular destination outside of Lyon, built on the steeply sloping left bank of the river Saône and is known for its fort. History In AD 843, the treaty of Verdun divided up the empire of Charlemagne. The river Saône became the frontier between France and the Empire. It is thanks to this border location that Trévoux gained its particular political status. In the 11th century it was included in the domain of the lords of Thoire-Villars, from whom it acquired its freedom. Crevant-Laveine () is a commune in the Puy-de-Dôme department in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in central France. Places and monuments Mountain castle, park by landscape architects, François-Marie Treyve and Joseph Marie. Château de la Terrasse, built from 1787 to 1790, by the architect Claude-François-Marie Attiret for Antoine Sablon du Corail (1762–1793) a close friend of the Count of Artois, who was inspired by Bagatelle to erect this castle. It is presented on a plan massed with two floors on basement, covered with a flat roof. The elements planned to crown the walls (balustrades, sculptures) were not carried out, as construction was halted due to the French Revolution. A dome was added in the 19th century.
