František Skladaný
František Skladaný (born April 22, 1982) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played with Vlci Žilina in the Slovak 1. Liga (SVK.1). He was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the fifth-round (143rd overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Skladany has played with HC Karlovy Vary of the Czech Extraliga from the 2006–07 season. On October 20, 2012, he was signed to a one-year contract extension to remain in Karlovy until 2013. MHA Martin is a professional ice hockey team playing in the Slovak 1. Liga. History The club was established in 1932 as Slávia Martin. Later the name was changed to Sokol, ŠK, ZŤS, Hutník, Martimex ZŤS, Martimex and MHC Martin (2000–2010). Czech Extraliga
The Czech Extraliga () is the highest-level ice hockey league in the Czech Republic. It was created in 1993 following the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia midway through the 1992–93 Czechoslovak Extraliga season (which all Slovak and Czech teams played to completion). Slovak Extraliga
The Slovak Extraliga, known as the Tipsport liga since the 2025–26 season for sponsorship reasons, is the highest-level ice hockey league in Slovakia. From 2018–19 to 2020–21, the league included one or two teams from Hungary. Teams from the Extraliga can participate in the IIHF's annual Champions Hockey League (CHL). Participation is based on the strength of the various leagues in Europe (excluding the KHL). A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal.
