Franklin County is a county located in the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2020 census, the population was 32,113. Its county seat is Russellville. Its name is in honor of Benjamin Franklin, famous statesman, scientist, and printer. It is a dry county, although the city of Russellville is wet. History Franklin County was established on February 6, 1818. Colbert County Colbert County was originally established on February 6, 1867, after it split from Franklin County over political issues after the American Civil War. It was abolished eight months later by an Alabama constitutional convention and then reestablished on February 24, 1870. Marion County is a county of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2020 census the population was 29,341. The county seat is Hamilton. The county was created by an act of the Alabama Territorial General Assembly on February 13, 1818. The county seat was originally established in Pikeville in 1820, and moved to Hamilton in 1881. State Route 24 (Alabama)
State Route 24 (SR 24) is a state highway in the northwestern and north-central part of the state. The western terminus of the route is near Red Bay at the Mississippi state line, where it continues as Mississippi Highway 76 (MS 76). The eastern terminus of the route is near the junction with SR 67 at Decatur, where it continues for 2 miles as Moulton Street. Moulton Street (without SR 24) ends east of US 31. The route is one of several segments that comprises Corridor V of the Appalachian Development Highway System. Once completed, Corridor V will provide a continuous route between Batesville, Mississippi and Chattanooga, Tennessee. State Route 17 (SR 17) is a major north-to-south highway within the U.S. state of Alabama. Covering 346.562 miles (557.737 km), it travels the length of the state between US 90 in Mobile and SR 13 at the Tennessee state line, north of Zip City. State Route 13 (SR 13) is a state highway in the western part of the U.S. state of Alabama. Except for a portion roughly between Berry and Russellville, SR 13 is the unsigned designation for U.S. Route 43 (US 43). Thus, while the total distance of the route is over , as an independently signed route, SR 13 is only long. The southern terminus of US 43 and SR 13 is at their intersection with US 90 and unsigned SR 16 in Mobile. The northern terminus of the route is on US 43 at the Tennessee state line north of Killen in Lauderdale County. U.S. Route 43 (US 43) is a north–south United States Highway in the Southern states of Alabama and Tennessee. It travels from Prichard, Alabama, to Columbia, Tennessee. The highway's southern terminus is in Prichard, at an intersection with US 90, and its northern terminus is in Columbia at an intersection with US 31/ US 412/ US 412 Bus. In Alabama and Tennessee, all of the U.S. Highways in each state have one or more unsigned state highways designated along its length.
