Aguascalientes is a municipality in the Mexican state of Aguascalientes. Its municipal seat is the city of Aguascalientes, which is also the state capital. As of 2010, its population was 797,010, most of whom lived in the city of Aguascalientes. Pedro Rivas Cuéllar (30 June 1917 – 15 October 2008) was a Mexican politician and radio pioneer affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party. He served as Municipal President of Aguascalientes from 1981 to 1983.
