Francisco Manuel Ruano Bausán
Francisco Manel Ruano Bausán (born 16 July 1974) is a retired Spanish footballer who played as a right winger, and currently assistant coach at OH Leuven. Playing career Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Ruano started playing football with UDA Gramenet in 1993, in Segunda División B. The following year, he joined Atlético Madrid; initially assigned to the reserves also in the third division, he made his first-team debut on 4 January 1995 by starting in a 0–0 away draw against CD Mensajero in the Copa del Rey. Ruano first appeared in La Liga on 15 January 1995, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 1–1 home draw against SD Compostela. In June, after 12 competitive matches, he moved to Real Valladolid. After only three competitive appearances, Ruano was loaned to fellow top-level club Rayo Vallecano in January 1996. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Club Deportivo Mensajero is a Spanish football team based in Santa Cruz de la Palma, in the autonomous community of Canary Islands. Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''. The Segunda División B included the reserve teams of a number of La Liga and Segunda División teams.
