Francesca Comencini (; born 19 August 1961) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. She attended the Lycée français Chateaubriand (Rome), Lycée français Chateaubriand school with her sisters. She has directed 14 films since 1984. Her film ''The Words of My Father, Le parole di mio padre'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival. In 2012, her film ''Un Giorno Speciale'' was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 69th Venice International Film Festival. She was married to French producer Daniel Toscan du Plantier. Carlo Azeglio Ciampi
Carlo Azeglio Ciampi (; 9 December 1920 – 16 September 2016) was an Italian politician, statesman and banker who was the President of Italy from 1999 to 2006 and the Prime Minister of Italy from 1993 to 1994. A World War II veteran, Ciampi had fought for the Italian resistance movement after he evaded capture from the Wehrmacht in 1943. Afterwards, he became a prominent banker in the History of the Italian Republic, First Italian Republic, gradually rising in the ranks of the Bank of Italy before becoming its Governor of the Bank of Italy, governor in 1979. In his tenure as governor, the Italian lira was devalued amid conflict with Prime Minister Bettino Craxi in the mid 1980's and Italy's withdrawal from the European Monetary System in 1992. Elsa Morante (film)
Elsa Morante (; 18 August 1912 – 25 November 1985) was an Italian novelist, poet, translator and children's books author. Her novel '' La storia'' (''History'') is included in the Bokklubben World Library List of 100 Best Books of All Time. Life and career Elsa Morante was born in Rome in 1912, the daughter of Irma (née Poggibonsi), a schoolteacher, and Augusto Morante. Her mother came from a Jewish family in Modena. When she was a teenager Morante discovered that Francesco Lo Monaco, a family neighbour, was her biological father. Except for a brief period during World War II, she resided in Rome until her death in 1985. Morante started writing at an early age. Without having much support from her parents, she relied mostly on self-education. She began writing short stories in the mid-1930s.
