Frailes is a municipality in the Spain, Spanish province of Province of Jaén (Spain), Jaén, autonomous community of Andalucia, with a total area of 41.37 km2, a population of 1551 inhabitants in 2024 (National Statistics Institute (Spain), INE figures) and a population density of 43.41 inhab/ km2. Jaén () is a province of southern Spain, in the eastern part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is bordered by the provinces of Ciudad Real, Albacete, Granada and Córdoba. The geographical term alfoz (plural ''alfoces'') was used in the Iberian Peninsula during the Middle Ages to describe the rural territory, including subordinate hamlets, under the jurisdiction of a corresponding town (''villa'' in Spanish). Alcalá La Real
Alcalá la Real is a city in the province of Jaén, Spain. According to the 2024 INE figures, the city had a population of 21,581. Geography Alcalá la Real is situated from the provincial capital, Jaén, and from Granada, on the slopes of La Mota, a hill in the Sierra Sur. It has an area of 261.36 km². Alfonso XI
Alfonso XI (11 August 131126 March 1350), called the Avenger (''el Justiciero''), was King of Castile and León. He was the son of Ferdinand IV of Castile and his wife Constance of Portugal. Upon his father's death in 1312, several disputes ensued over who would hold regency, which were resolved in 1313. Once Alfonso was declared an adult in 1325, he began a reign that would serve to strengthen royal power and became known for his victory in the Battle of Rio Salado. Sierra Sur De Jaén
The Sierra Sur de Jaén (Southern Range of Jaén) is a mountain range that is part of the central belt of the Baetic System, Andalusia, Spain.
