The Youth Forum of the Democratic Party of Albania (, abbreviated as ''FRPD'') is the youth wing of the Democratic Party of Albania. Founded in 1991 following the collapse of the communist regime, FRPD in recent times has grown to become one of the largest youth political organisations in the western balkans, with major contributions and influence within the Democratic Party. FRPD is one of the founders of the Youth of European People's Party (YEPP) in 1997, and in 2020, following years of negotiations, managed to become full members of European Democrat Students. In October 2022, Besart Xhaferri was elected chairman of FRPD for the Berisha wing of the Democratic Party. Tirana ( , ; ) is the capital and List of cities and towns in Albania, largest city of Albania. Youth of the European People's Party (YEPP) is an umbrella organization of European political youth organisations and is the official youth wing of the European People's Party. YEPP brings together 64 centre-right youth political organisations from 40 countries all over Europe. Founded in 1997 by the 2006–2014 Prime Minister of Sweden Fredrik Reinfeldt, YEPP has developed into the largest political youth organisation in Europe. Neritan Ceka
Neritan Ceka (; born 11 February 1941) is an Albanian archaeologist, professor, and politician. He served as Albania's Minister of Internal Affairs from 27 July 1997 to 18 April 1998. Early life Ceka was born in Tirana. Ceka studied at the Qemal Stafa High School, in Tirana, Albania. He is the son of Hasan Ceka, a prominent Albanian archeologist, who inspired Neritan to pursue a career in archaeology. Political career Ceka was a founding member of the Democratic Party of Albania and has been active in politics since 1990. The Democratic Alliance Party () is a liberal political party in Albania. The party was formed in 1992 by Neritan Ceka and other dissidents of the Democratic Party of Albania. They opposed the leadership of the party's leader Sali Berisha. History PAD was founded in early 1992 by including two of the original founders Gramoz Pashko and Arben Imami. The reason for the split is still disputed by the principals involved. Although the Democratic Alliance Party had six deputies in the 23rd Legislature of Albania, the number needed to form a parliamentary group, they were denied such recognition by the leadership of parliament. Gent Hysen Strazimiri (, born 6 October 1972) was a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania for the Democratic Party of Albania (DP). He was Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs from 2007 to 2009.
