Capital League 1 is the second tier of men's senior football (soccer) in Brisbane, (5th tier Queensland and Level 6 within Australia). It is administered by Football Brisbane. All clubs participating in Capital League 1 must field two teams, one in first grade, and another in the reserves competition. Clubs in the NPL and Brisbane Premier League cannot field their reserves teams in this division. History The first edition of a second tier league in the Brisbane soccer competition to be widely reported was the newly formed Division 2 in 1921. Seven clubs contested the Division 2 championship in 1921: Blackstone Rovers, Queens Park, Kangaroo Rats, Western Suburbs, Toowong, Bulimba Rangers and Kedron United. Moggill FC is an Australian football (soccer) club from Bellbowrie, Queensland, Bellbowrie, a suburb of Brisbane. The club was formed in 1974, and currently competes in WFQPL3 & FQPL4. History Moggill United Soccer Club was formed by Robbie Roosen in 1974 and experienced early success in its junior ranks, with its inaugural Under 7 team becoming Brisbane champions. The club commenced fielding teams at a senior level in the 1978 season, with their first grade squad entering competition in Brisbane's Division Five. The club's first grade team won three grand finals between 1985 and 1996. Since promotion to the third tier of Brisbane competition in 1996, the club has been a consistent performer and has not been relegated since. Brassall is a suburb in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. In the , Brassall had a population of 10,898 people. Geography Brassall has a southern boundary partially marked by the Bremer River and a western alignment along Ironpot Creek. The northern boundary follows the Warrego Highway. Bardon is a western suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately north-west of the Brisbane CBD. Bardon Latrobe Football Club, based at Bardon in Brisbane, Queensland, is one of the larger soccer clubs in Brisbane, with over 800 registered players. This iteration of the club was formed with the merging in 1970 of the Latrobe Soccer Club and the Bardon Soccer Football Club, two of the oldest clubs in the Brisbane football competition (the two clubs had previously merged for the 1941 season, as 'Latrobe-Bardon Soccer Club'). Although the local records are incomplete, the merged club, through its antecedent Latrobe Football Club (formed in 1916) appears to have had the longest continuous participation of any extant club in the Brisbane football competition. Annerley is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Annerley had a population of 11,336 people. Annerley is located by road south of the Brisbane GPO.
