Fond-du-Curé () is a '' quartier'' of Terre-de-Haut Island, located in Les Saintes, Guadeloupe. It is located in the central part of the island. This is the main village of Terre-de-Haut Island. It is a natural anchorage in the bay of Les Saintes. The commercial activity of the island are focused on this village, shops, market, fishmarket, bakeries, groceries, restaurants, bars, hotels and guest houses. Terre-de-Haut Island
Terre-de-Haut Island (; ; also formerly known as ''Petite Martinique'') is the easternmost island in the Îles des Saintes, part of the archipelago of Guadeloupe. Like name of neighboring Terre-de-Bas Island, name Terre-de-Haut comes from the maritime vocabulary, which called the islands exposed to the "highland" winds and those protected from the wind, "lowlands". The Îles des Saintes (; ), also known as Les Saintes (, ), is a group of small islands in the archipelago of Guadeloupe, an overseas department of France. Notre-Dame de l'Assomption ( French for Our Lady of Assumption) is a Roman Catholic Church of the Îles des Saintes, an island in the archipelago of the French Overseas department of Guadeloupe. It is located in ''rue Jean Calot'' in Fond-du-Curé, a ''quartier'' (locality) of Terre-de-Haut Island. It is Latin Rite parish which is included in the diocese of Guadeloupe (), a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Fort-de-France, and a member of the Antilles Episcopal Conference. It is registered on the National Heritage Site of France (Monument historique) by ministerial decree of 31 December 1979. Saintoise
The saintoise (; Antillean Creole: ''Sentwaz'') or ''canot saintois'' (literally: dinghy from les Saintes) is a fishing boat without a deck, traditionally maneuverable with the sail or the ream. It is native to the les Saintes archipelago where it spread throughout the Lesser Antilles. The saintoise is an integral part of the heritage and the cultural identity of the archipelago. The practice of using sailing saintoises developed quickly in Guadeloupean water sports since 2001 when it officially became a new sport, the traditional sailboat racing. Terre-de-Haut
Terre-de-Haut (; ) is a commune in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe, including Terre-de-Haut Island and a few other small uninhabited islands of the archipelago (''les Roches Percées''; '' Îlet à Cabrit''; '' Grand-Îlet''; ''la Redonde''). It is the most populous island of the archipelago of Les Saintes. The Fort Napoléon is located in this commune.
