Françoise Folmer (born 6 January 1961 in Esch-sur-Alzette) is a Luxembourgish architect and politician. She was named Woman Business Manager of the Year for 2011 by the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg. In March 2015, she became leader of The Greens (Luxembourg), The Greens. Joke Folmer
Johanna Maria "Joke" Folmer (9 July 1923 – 11 December 2022) was a Dutch resistance member during World War II. Life Shortly after her birth, Folmer moved with her parents to the Dutch East Indies where she lived until the age of 16. At the time of the 1940 German invasion of the Netherlands she was seventeen years old and attended the lyceum in Zeist. By delivering homework to a Jewish friend, she came into contact with the Dutch resistance. She became a courier for the ''Fiat Libertas'' group. She smuggled over three hundred people across the border, including 120 Allied pilots. In September 1943 the group was betrayed. Folmer was sentenced to death and imprisoned in, among others, the Oranjehotel, the prison in Utrecht and Herzogenbusch concentration camp. Her execution was prevented by the evacuation of the camp on Dolle Dinsdag. As a Nacht und Nebel prisoner, she went to multiple German prisons. Mike Folmer
Michael Folmer (born January 2, 1956) is an American politician and confessed sex offender. He represented the 48th district in the Pennsylvania State Senate, which includes all of Lebanon County and portions of Dauphin and York Counties, from 2007 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party. In September 2019 he was arrested on child pornography charges and resigned his State Senate seat. In July 2020, Folmer was sentenced to one to two years in county jail. Personal life Folmer was born and raised in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Lebanon Senior High School in 1974, he attended Grace College (in Indiana) where he majored in History and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1978. He returned to the Lebanon Valley where he worked in financial consulting and sales management. Richard Folmer
Richard Sloan Folmer (February 13, 1942 – January 11, 2022) was an American actor who was based in Shreveport, Louisiana. He appeared in a variety of notable stage plays, television programs and films. Folmer also co-founded "The Company", a theater company located in Shreveport. Folmer latterly served as Artistic Director of the East Bank Theatre and Gallery at the Bossier Arts Council. His training included Hilberry Classic Theatre and personal coaching by acting coaches Cliff Osmond and Bob Everson. He died on January 11, 2022, at the age of 79.
