Flávio Lopes
Flávio Antônio Lopes Lourenço (born 30 July 1965), better known as Flávio Lopes, is a Brazilian former professional footballer and manager who played as a midfielder. Player career Revealed by Valeriodoce de Itabira, Flávio Lopes gained prominence by being América Mineiro main player in winning the 1993 Campeonato Mineiro. A skilled midfielder, he also played for América de Rio Preto and Londrina before retiring. Managerial career Lopes began his career as a coach at América Mineiro, and achieved the feat of also becoming a champion as a manager by winning the 2000 Copa Sul-Minas. This boosted his career, causing Lopes to coach teams from different regions of Brazil in the following years, with emphasis on Athletico Parananense, Gama, ABC and Ipatinga, where he accumulated several spells. Taça Minas Gerais
The Taça Minas Gerais is a traditional football tournament played in the Minas Gerais state in Brazil. From 1973 through 1977 and then in 1980 and 1981, was a separate competition. In 1979 and from 1982 to 1987, it was played as one of the phases in the Campeonato Mineiro, like the Taça Guanabara in the Campeonato Carioca. The tournament was not played again until 1999, but only teams from the interior of Minas Gerais participated and the winner earned itself a berth in the Copa do Brasil. Since 2004, any team from the Campeonato Mineiro's three divisions have been eligible. Copa Sul Minas
Copa Sul-Minas was a Brazilian football competition that ran between 2000 and 2002, with teams from the three Southern states of Brazil, plus the Southeastern state of Minas Gerais. It is a successor competition to the 1999 Tournament called Copa Sul which only included teams from the Southern states. The Campeonato Mineiro is the top-flight professional state football league in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. It is run by the Minas Gerais Football Federation (FMF). The history of Campeonato Mineiro can be divided into two parts: before and after the construction of the Mineirão, in September 1966. The Mineirão is the biggest football stadium of Minas Gerais and it is located in Minas Gerais' state capital, Belo Horizonte. Before the stadium's inauguration América and Atlético were the most successful teams in the state, but after the construction of the Mineirão, known as the "Era Mineirão" ("Mineirão Era"), another team from the capital, Cruzeiro, also gained prominence. Givanildo José de Oliveira (born 8 August 1948), sometimes known as just Givanildo, is a Brazilian retired football coach and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. Playing career Club Born in Olinda, Pernambuco, Givanildo Oliveira represented Santa Cruz as a youth and made his first team debut in 1969. A part of the club's five consecutive Campeonato Pernambucano titles, he also became team captain in the process.
