Flynderupgård
Flynderupgård is a former country house in the Espergærde district of Helsingør, Denmark. It is now part of Helsingør Museums dedicated to the non-urban parts of the municipality with its farming communities, farmland, forestry and fishing villages. The outdoor premises comprises traditional breeds of farm animals, cultivation of a five hectares piece of land and a garden, all as it would appear in the 1920s. History Flynderupgård was originally a farm but was converted into a country house in the beginning of the 19th century. The main building was adapted in its current style in 1915–20. Exhibition The museum comprises two large local collections. One is a collections of artifacts compiled by teacher at Rspergærde School Arne Meyling in the period between 1954 and the 1970s. Espergærde
Espergærde is a town situated in North Zealand near Øresund in Denmark. It is part of the larger urban area Espergærde-Snekkersten-Helsingør ( Elsinore), some 5 to 8 km south of the centre of Helsingør , separated from the urban area of Helsingør-Snekkersten by a 100m wide green belt, Egebæksvang forest and an area under natural protection around Flynderupgård (previously a village, later a farm, today a museum). The urban area of Espergærde also covers the two former villages Tibberup and Mørdrup and part of the former fishing village of Skotterup, with 11.524 inhabitants (2008). Espergærde is limited to the north by Egebæksvang forest and Flynderupgård, to the west by Rolighedsmoserne (swamp area) and Helsingørmotorvejen (motorway or highway), to the south by Krogerup mansion fields and Babyloneskoven (Babylone forest). Helsingør City Museum
Helsingør City Museum ( Danish: Helsingør Bymuseum) is a local history museum in Helsingørm Denmark. The 16th-century building in which it is based is known as the Cammelite House (Danish: Kammelitterhuset) although the Carmelite brothers from the adjacent Priory of Our Lady have in fact only built a minor part of the build. History On 11 July 1516, Christian II of Denmark granted the brothers at Helsingør's Carmelite Priory permission to build a hospital for "poor, sick foreign seamen for rest and something, help and comfort". The building, located on present day Hestemøllestræde to the south of the priory's chapel, was 25 and contained 8–M10 beds. After the dissolution of the priory in 1536 during the Reformation, the Carmelites were turned out. The hospital was sold to Asgud Mikkelsen who constructed a horse mill at the site.
