Flyleaf (band)
Flyleaf is an American Christian rock band formed in Belton, Texas, in 2002. The band has charted on mainstream rock, contemporary Christian music, Christian pop, and Christian metal charts. They performed around the US in 2003 before releasing their eponymous debut album, ''Flyleaf (album), Flyleaf'', in 2005. The album went platinum after selling more than one million copies. Flyleaf released their second album, ''Memento Mori (Flyleaf album), Memento Mori'', in 2009, which debuted and peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard charts. Shortly before the release of their third album, ''New Horizons (Flyleaf album), New Horizons'' (2012), lead vocalist Lacey Sturm announced her departure. Belton is a city in the U.S. state of Texas. Belton is the county seat of Bell County, Texas, Bell County and is the fifth largest city in the Killeen – Temple – Fort Hood metropolitan area, Killeen-Temple metropolitan area. ''New Horizons'' is the third studio album by American rock band Flyleaf, released on A&M/Octone Records on October 30, 2012. It was produced by Howard Benson, who has produced several of Flyleaf's previous recordings. It was the final album with lead vocalist Lacey Sturm, who announced her departure from the band, just prior to the album's release, in October 2012. Sturm rejoined the band in 2022. Production It was announced in February 2012 that Flyleaf had entered the studio with producer Howard Benson to start recording a new full-length studio album. A release date of October 30, 2012 was eventually confirmed for the album. Singles "New Horizons" is the album's first single and was released in the iTunes Store on August 21. It is their second song to have an accompanying music video and it has been shown on many mainstream television networks. Dave Navarro
David Michael Navarro (born June 7, 1967) is an American guitarist. He is best known as a member of the rock band Jane's Addiction, with whom he has recorded four studio albums. Between 1993 and 1998, Navarro was the guitarist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, recording one studio album, ''One Hot Minute'' (1995), before departing. Howard Michael Benson (born July 20, 1956) is an American record producer from Havertown, Pennsylvania. He has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical in 2007 and 2008, among two wins and 16 total nominations for his productions. Early life and education Benson was born and raised in a middle-class family in greater Philadelphia, the son of Estelle and Robert Benson. He is of Jewish descent. He began playing keyboards in rock bands at the age of 13. He attended college at Drexel University and studied engineering. Staind ( ) is an American rock band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1995.
