Flying Fruit Fly Circus
The Flying Fruit Fly Circus is Australia's national youth circus, and the only full-time circus school for young people in Australia. History The Flying Fruit Fly Circus was one of the productions of the Murray River Performing Group, initially an ensemble of nine artists, set up mostly by graduates the Victorian College of the Arts Drama School, including Robert "Bomber" Perrier, the first artistic director, Lloyd Suttor, Mark Shirrefs and Ian Mortimer. The group began full-time operations in 1979, the International Year of the Child. Cirkidz
Cirkidz is a youth circus school based in Bowden, South Australia, Bowden, Adelaide. It was founded by Tony Hannan and Michael Lester in 1985, as a workshop project. Performances The Performance Troupe are Cirkidz participants, and create artistic work in the form of theatre performances. They are regularly booked to perform at a range of iconic South Australian events, including: the Adelaide Fringe Parade, the Adelaide Christmas Pageant, Credit Union Christmas Pageant, the Tour Down Under and Velo-city. The Performance Troupe also have annual productions for the general viewing public. The Australian Entertainment Mo Awards (commonly known as the Mo Awards) were an annual Australian entertainment industry award, established in 1975, to recognise achievements in live entertainment in Australia. They were last awarded in 2016. Lucky Grills, actor and comedian came up with the idea to create an awards show to celebrate Australian Variety, during a meeting in 1975. Flying Fruit Fly Circus School
The Flying Fruit Fly Circus School is the only primary and secondary-level circus school in Australia. It was founded in 1987 as the educational arm of The Flying Fruit Fly Circus. The school was originally located on the grounds of Wodonga High School, but in 2003 a fire destroyed the entire Wodonga High School facility. Police considered the fire suspicious.
