Florya is a quarter () belonging to the Bakırköy district of the greater Istanbul, Turkey. It is located along Marmara Sea, and borders to the northeast the neighborhood of Yeşilköy, to the northwest that of Küçükçekmece. Its residents are relatively affluent. Florya has two stations along the Marmaray, Marmaray Commuter Line: Florya railway station, Florya and Florya Akvaryum. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and the first president of Turkey, used to spend his free time in his Florya Atatürk Marine Mansion swimming and enjoying the beautiful sandy beach. Florya Atatürk Marine Mansion
Florya Atatürk Marine Mansion () is a historic presidential residence located offshore in the Sea of Marmara in the Florya neighborhood of the Bakırköy district in Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in 1935 by the municipality of Istanbul for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's recreational use. The building is a historic house museum today. Architecture Designed in the Bauhaus style by architect Seyfi Arkan, who was given the commission in 1935 by the municipality of Istanbul, the mansion was completed on August 14 the same year, and was gifted to Atatürk. The building is constructed on deep foundation, steel piles driven into the seabed and is connected to the sandy beach about away with a wooden pier. Florya railway station () is a railway station in Bakırköy, Istanbul. The station was built in 1955 as a stop on the Istanbul suburban commuter rail line until 2013, when the entire line was closed down for expansion and renovation. Florya Metin Oktay Facilities (), is the training ground and academy base of the Turkish football club Galatasaray SK. The Florya training camp land was brought during the presidency of Suphi Batur, built and opened during Professor Ali Uras presidency and was expanded and improved during both Ali Tanriyar and Alp Yalman presidencies. It was opened on August 1, 1981. Located in Florya, Istanbul and named after the club's legendary goalscorer Metin Oktay, the sports complex covers an area of . Onur Air (, often styled OnurAir or Onurair) was a low-cost airline with its headquarters in the Technical Hangar B at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Yeşilköy, Istanbul, Turkey.
