Florida Statistical Areas
The U.S. currently has 36 statistical areas that have been delineated by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). On March 6, 2020, the OMB delineated seven combined statistical areas, 22 metropolitan statistical areas, and seven micropolitan statistical areas in Florida. __TOC__ Statistical areas The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has designated more than 1,000 statistical areas for the United States and Puerto Rico. Treasure Coast
The Treasure Coast is a region of the U.S. state of Florida. It is located on Florida's East Coast, bordering the Atlantic Ocean and comprising Indian River, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. The region, whose name refers to the Spanish Treasure Fleet lost in a 1715 hurricane, evidently emerged from residents' desire to distinguish themselves from the Gold Coast to the south (the coast along Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties).
